Monkey On Your Back --- [posted Jan 2005]
This isn't really anime style but until I have more stuff like this it goes here. Concept painting for an upcoming Capybara Games mobile project "Monkey On Your Back", first appeared in their publisher pitch document taken to the Game Developers Conference and E3 for 2004. Created using pencil, Photoshop and Painter.

Christmas 2003 --- [posted Jan 2005]
My winter themed Christmas print for 2003, readers of my comic SAS Alternative should recognize Clara one of the main characters. Created using pencil, Photoshop and Painter. Final prints were printed on textured water colour paper.

SAS Alternative #1 Cover --- [posted Jan 2005]
Cover art for SAS Alternative #1. I used much more saturated colors than usual so the covers would (hopefully) really catch peoples' eyes when the walked past at conventions. Created with pen & ink, Photoshop, and Painter.

Rapping Angel --- [posted Jan 2003]
I sketched this last year and it's been sitting on my computer waiting to be coloured for months. So I finally got to it. It's coloured using Painters water colour brushes. Unlike almost all my colour work I decided to paint right over the pencils without inking so it has a real sketchy loose look to it.

First Painting --- [posted Dec 2002]
First attempt at colouring using Painter, a program which mimics natural media, in this case water colours and conté.

Pigtail Girl --- [posted May 2002]
My first drawing coloured in Photoshop using my new computer and tablet! I'm pretty happy with it given it's my first attempt at this technique.

Magic Graffiti --- [posted 2000]
A fairy paints graffiti while her goblin skater friend sits and watches. It's shaded using a fair amount of purple and I think it works nicely. On the downside I think I used too many colours over all making it a bit busy. This is the last of my art marker drawings.

Broken Wing --- [posted 2000]
A Bio-mechanical Angel clings with one hand to a cliff after breaking both wings and a mechanical leg. To some extent this drawing was inspired by the Battle Angel manga which I recently finished reading (and highly recommend).

Clockwork Fairy --- [posted 2000]
I did this drawing while listening to panels at the Ad Astra Speculative Fiction convention. The costume is influenced by the Square video game Dew Prism which I was playing compulsively at the time.
